POSITION INFO:
An exciting career opportunity is available at one of the premier golf & leisure resorts in the country for an experienced and motivated Group Coordinator.
We consider the following as essential:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent,
- Knowledge of MS Office suite and at least 1 years work experience in reservations, customer sales or banqueting & events coordinating is a prerequisite,
- A valid driver’s license will be required,
- Work experience on any booking and point-of-sales system, would be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities (areas and indicators listed are not exhaustive and may be changed / supplemented to accommodate business needs from time to time):
- Making and processing group reservations and events by email and telephone,
- Following up on tentative bookings and all deposits which are due and ensuring that these are processed,
- Coordinate site inspections for groups travelling/requested with the various managers required (Conferences, functions),
- Coordinating pre-conference meetings to ensure correct handover to the operations team,
- Pro-actively market and introduce available packages and new services,
- Overseeing the entire event planning and handling any day to day queries and complaints,
- Promote all activities available on the Resort.
Adverse working conditions:
- Must be prepared to work weekends & Public holidays,
- Must be prepared to work shifts.
The ideal candidate will have excellent telephonic skills, a flair for up-selling, and a keen eye for detail and be able to cope under pressure. If you are this candidate – please apply!
