SUMMARY:
An Education and Training Institution is looking for a Group Accountant to join their organisation. The ideal candidate has fantastic problem-solving skills, detail orientated and deadline driven.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification & Experience

Recently qualified CA or available for registration with SAICA as a CA (SA) in January 2022
3 years of articles
Completion of a training contract in an accounting firm
Experience drafting in CaseWare or similar financial statement package
Fluent in English
Computer literate including advanced Excel
Drivers license with own vehicle
Must be able to work overtime when required

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements for all companies and consolidation
Cash flow reporting for all divisions in the Group
Balance Sheet and intercompany reconciliations
Maintain asset register
Sign off and approval of payments and journals
Address and handle internal stakeholder queries
Processing of month end journals
Assist with audit
Operational and administrative tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with CIPC and SARS
