SUMMARY:

A dynamic company is looking for a young innovative Group Accountant to join their inclusive team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for reporting the activities of subsidiaries controlled by the holding company as part of the group's total activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified CA(SA) to gain exposure in the commercial market. Our client is seeking a high calibre candidate with an assertive personality, must be deadline driven and have good problem-solving skills. POSITION INFO:

Duties:

Managing the corporate month end accounting process
Preparation of the monthly management reports
Preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements
Preparation of the ASX financial statements and commentary (if applicable)
Consolidation of the Group budget for the management reporting pack
Preparation of the Board reporting pack
Managing the monthly variance analysis and providing commentary on the financial performance
Liaising with the external Auditors
Preparation and lodgement of monthly corporate taxes including FBT, Income tax and quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
Supervising junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

Grade 12 (Matric) with distinctions;
BCom Accounting Degree;
BCom Honours Degree/CTA
Newly qualified CA(SA).

Experience:

Completed articles within a well-recognized firm;

Experience working with CaseWare systems;

Interest/Exposure to the in the education industry will be beneficial.
