SUMMARY:
A company based in the Norther Suburbs of Johannesburg has a vacancy for a Group Accountant.

POSITION INFO:

Key Performance Areas

This involves assisting the Group Financial Manager in terms of planning, monitoring and directing of the financial policies of the company.

Experience with managing staff Ability to make decisions regarding the management of the department.

Interaction with other departments.

Experience at a large company with monthly turnover exceeding R10 million.

Have a good understanding of accounting principles. Experience at preparing monthly packages on Excel.

Experience in reconciling complex accounts. Experience with intercompany transactions.

ACCPAC Experience (not negotiable)

Knowledge of Accounting controls and procedures Knowledge of relevant taxes (VAT and Income Tax)

Knowledge or use of EFT systems

Qualifications

B.Com Accountancy or Equivalent or in the process of completing such
