JOB DESCRIPTION:

Group Accountant (6 month+ Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Arcadia, Pretoria

A remarkable medical institution is seeking to appoint a Group Accountant for a fixed term contract.

Position Overview:

One’s responsibility will be to ensure that correct financial control and records are upheld within the institution’s Group of Companies.

Key Performance Areas:

Accurate financial recording (reclassification and those entries are allocated in correct general ledger account)
Intercompany loan accounts are accurate
Timeously financial recording (Keeping with management account deadlines submitting management pack on time)
Addressing reviewed management packs comments on the specific deadline
Preparation of accurate and consistent consolidated management pack after review of FM
Follow up with business on variances between budget and actuals and communicated in reporting pack
Monthly preparation of audit (All B/S accounts)
Cost of sales issues identified and resolved
Identify and reconcile pricing differences ensure system is correct
Assist from a financial point with stock count
All clearing accounts reconciled at month end
Accurately process salary journals and leave and bonus provision and review for consistency and communicate with HR to ensure correct

Key Requirements to be liable for consideration:

A completed Bachelor of Commerce Accounting degree
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
Post articles experience required
Supervision experience is an added advantage
Microsoft, SAP, Evolve, and excellent Excel skills
Experience in submitting income taxation returns, VAT 201 returns, EMP 201
Healthcare industry experience will be an advantage
