SUMMARY:
Provide support to and grow with the groundwater modelling team for a leading consultancy in the mining industry.
POSITION INFO:
Plan and manage groundwater projects including hydrogeological numerical modelling
Undertake relevant field work assessments (Contaminated groundwater assessment, aquifer testing supervision, drilling supervision and hydrocencus)
Run hydrogeological baseline assessments and interpret data
Deliver project activities with a major focus on data collection
Report and proposal writing
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in practical hydrogeology
Demonstrated knowledge in Feflow, Modflow and Goldism (Beneficial)
GIS packages such as QGIS or ArcGIS, additionally knowledge of Python (Beneficial)
Above average written and verbal communication (English)
Driven to do fieldwork and learn
Qualification:
BSc. Hons in Hydrogeology/Geology including groundwater modelling experience
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
