POSITION INFO:

The client being supported is in the Financial Sector, the candidate must have a clean financial record and no adverse criminal behavior in their past. The candidate will be required to work according to the UK Time Zone [1 hour behind RSA in our winter and 2 hours behind in our summer].  Their line manager and team will be in the UK. The candidate must have their own connectivity [mobile or fibre Wi-Fi, laptop, mouse ). This position has no benefits, except for the deduction of PAYE, UIF and 20 Annual leave days.

• The Graphic Designer will occupy an integral creative position in the design team, drawing on their talent in the field of graphic design to ensure that all graphics meet our high levels of quality. 
• They will have experience of producing artwork from concept to completion for screen based graphic design as well as print/editorial solutions. 
• The Graphic Designer will have a passion for keeping our graphic designs innovative and impactful whilst also providing practical design solutions for our wide ranging audience.

Responsibilities

• Leading the art creation process from concept to completion by producing diagrams and graphics, adhering to the clients brand and editorial standards
• Listening to internal stakeholders and the team around you, understanding their needs,  vision and interpreting their requirements.
• Supporting the presentational style of the product, working closely with the Instructional and Digital Designer to develop and maintain the artistic vision
• Owning imagery styles including video, photography, graphics, schematics, icons, infographics, animations and transition styles.
• Working with the latest technologies to produce graphics for smartphones, tablet and web applications.
• Embrace new concepts and innovations in graphic design, to deliver cutting edge work. 

Job Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ demonstrable experience of designing learning experiences for major UK and international corporate clients with a passion for making great learning content
• A creative thinker able to generate new ideas
• Experience of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and InDesign
• Strong working knowledge of all MS Office programmes, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills; both written and spoken
• Commitment to maintaining high quality assurance standards
• An industry recognized graphic design or other art and design based subject qualification is desirable.
