Fashion Retailer with HO in Johannesburg is seeking to employ a graphic designer for the team

Requirements

A degree in graphic design

+- 3 to 5 years working experience, preferably for a fashion retailer

Must be skilled in using design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoShop.

•             Skilled in using CRM builders for emailers: Mailchimp, Everlytic, Klaviyo

•             Skilled in conceptualizing and creating campaign artwork for digital marketing campaigns: social posts and ads, digital banners, website banners, online banners for suppliers

•             Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for in store

•             Develop promotional print material for in store

•             Conceptualizing and creating company logos

•             Conceptualizing and creating artwork needed for the online website: homepage banners, category banners

•             Resizing of online product images

•             Retouching of images is advantageous

•             Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size

•             Video editing is advantageous, creating interactive videos for digital marketing platforms

•             Exceptional creativity and innovation

•             Excellent time management and organisational skills

•             Accuracy and attention to detail

•             An understanding of the latest design trends and their role within a commercial environment

•             Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines

•             Bringing the brief and concept to life based on the company needs and vision.

•             Preparing mock-ups and presenting to the team before deciding on a final design/concept.

•             Working and collaborating with art directors, copywriters, photographers, and other designers.

•             Adapting and rolling out approved concepts to various media, above and below the line.

•             Working with external departments to extend concept and visuals to other internal and external marketing-related material.

•             Work on multiple briefs at the same time.

•             Be creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualise original ideas

•             Have a strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design aesthetic.

•             Good communication skills to accurately convey your concepts to team members

•             Have an active interest in art/design and passionate about the work you deliver.

•             Basic community management

•             Sourcing of signage quotes and assisting with signage production for in store activations

•             In store signage briefs

•             Website design and online banner artwork

•             Visiting stores from time to time to do store audits on signage solutions
