Graphic Designer / Illustrator (6 month contract)

SUMMARY:
Graphic Designer / Illustrator (6 month contract) Remote Opportunity This position supports the marketing function contributing high quality illustrations and design support for our organisation’s brands in Australia and New Zealand.

Could you be who we are looking for? (the boring bits)

 Illustrator

• Collaborating with your direct Department Specialist, Marketing, and wider marketing team to continually improve and create modern, brand specific illustrations.
• Drawing rough digital sketches for approval.
• Producing final illustrations.
• Undertaking relevant research and generating ideas.
• Working to commercial briefs to inform, persuade or entertain a client''s intended audience, adjusting the mood and style of images accordingly.
• Utilising Adobe software (Illustrator & Photoshop) to create digital illustrations.
• Ensuring that printed & digital illustrations meet specified colour and quality standards.
• Compliance with all relevant Pacific Policies and Procedures, including specific role level responsibilities.
• You will be required to carry out other duties that are within the limits of your skills, competence, training and/or experience as directed by your Department Specialist.

Graphic Design

• Assisting Department Specialist with all Digital Graphic Design requirements.
• Creating eye-catching design concepts.
• Developing digital assets to support social medial channels.
• Rolling out creative across traditional and digital platforms including (but not limited to) promotional emails, infographics, brochures, posters, banners.
• Ensuring that all design material reflects our various brand guidelines, brand values and personality.

The Essentials you’ll need

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts or similar field desired.
• 2-5 years of experience as a Graphic Designer / Illustrator.
• Excellent understanding and experience in design principles, design trends, file formats etc.
• Excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software applications (Including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat) and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail with exemplary use of typography, colour and imagery.
• Be able to work in a very fast paced ever-changing environment with ease and handle a broad range of projects.
• Motivated self-started with the ability to work independently with guidance and minimal supervision.
• Great time management skills.
• Great communication skills.
