SUMMARY:
A diverse multinational consumer brand business is seeking an innovative and talented Graphic Designer to join their dynamic team, based in Epping, Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Graphic Designer

Working with a well-known lifestyle apparel brand, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing graphic requirements to enhance the current fashion positioning the brand holds within the Adventure Apparel market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate the brief and strategic requirements into creative design style and format.
• Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations and application on garments.
• Design for print, digital applications, and other digital products, completing full campaigns in preparation for presentations.
• Maintaining high brand standards and creating new and fresh solutions to briefs.
• Efficient use of Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign on iMac.
• Packaging design for garment embellishment, i.e. swing tickets, labels, etc.
• Able to translate supplied/created key visuals across multiple garments.
• Building & maintain a close working relationship with the marketing teams and assisting with catalogues.
• Work closely with suppliers and production teams to ensure the correct specifications and artwork are submitted.
• Keep abreast of trends in the industry.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Essential: Matric and a National Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or similar.
• Essential: Minimum 3 years experience in a clothing retail or supplier environment.
• Essential: Advanced Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign) on iMac.
• Essential: Competence in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Basic Excel, Powerpoint).
