SUMMARY:
North Durban. Fabulous opportunity for talented graphic or textile designer with strong eye for trends, colour, textiles and printable silhouettes exists with fashion clothing supplier. 5 years experience, solid illustrator and photoshop experience essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bring the brief and garments to life based on the clients vision and needs
Prepare clothing CADs and artworks for clients that are current and new.
Work on multiple briefs at the same time
Market and trend research to create on trend graphics and prints for Kids wear.
Amend designs after feedback.
Work according to budget, time and production constraints
Edit proofs to client’s specifications and getting signoff and approval before finalising artwork.
Work and collaborating with screen printers and embroiderers to ensure outwork is developed within price and time constraints.
Adhere to a client’s brand identity and guidelines.
Ensure production is issued on time and with all approved artworks.
Help to develop seasonal ranges and trends.
Work closely with development in reviewing strike offs, and submits for approval for all categories from design concept to production.
Ensure that all design, artwork, prints, and fabrics for sourcing are sent in correct format with all correct technical specification information to suppliers.

Skills and experience:

5+ years in apparel graphic design, including textile design, with strong working knowledge of product design, creation, development
in depth knowledge of illustrator
Photoshop experience
Strong eye for trends in graphic art, colour, textile and printable silhouettes
Must be highly organized and detailed oriented
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and the web.
Excellent eye for detail
Understanding of the screen-printing procedure and limitations
Ability to work under pressure
Team Player
Punctual and Dependable
