SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mozambique is urgently looking to appoint a Governance Specialist in their Offices in Mozambique. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the risk in the Mozambique Supply Chain is appropriately governed and it remains legally compliant.

POSITION INFO:

Accountable to implement the necessary mechanisms to monitor and proactively influence compliance to supply chain standards and governance. Accountable to set governance and risk direction, including business processes, rules, and the management of interfaces.

Desired Experience and qualifications:

  • Appropriate B Degree (Commercial or Legal) or equivalent
  • At least minimum experience of 6 years in Supply Chain
  • At 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Enablement, preferable Governance related

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop policies, procedures processes and control mechanisms including mechanisms by which to implement them
  • Ensure that the Supply Chain adheres to governance and business rules by implementing processes and practices which track compliance and reduce risk
  • Oversee the execution of SOX-test cycles, track testing/reviewing progress and provide progress reports for management information and decisions. Active participation in the SOX-process is aimed at providing assurance that controls are in place to counter economic crimes.
  • Execute the reporting of governance, standards, and risk
  • Coordinate Internal Audit preparation on receipt of an annual audit plan. 
  • Track the correction of audit findings and provide audit progress reports to assist management in achieving, improving, or maintaining A and B ratings. Coordination and facilitation of Audits (internal and external
  • Facilitate the implementation of corrective actions on audit findings and non-compliances
  • Analyse the performance of the internal controls to identify improvement opportunities
  • Implement comprehensive Health-checks on Supply Chain process compliance.
