POSITION INFO:

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensure that Legal, statutory, and regulatory compliance (public accountability) on all requirements is implemented and maintained for the function
• Structures and frameworks for risk controls and governance within the function are implemented
• Ensure strategy is implemented in a manner that supports operational and market imperatives.
• Communicate strategic context and strategic implementation plans to ensure operational best practice and continuous improvement
• Design and accountable for Reward philosophy and strategy of organisation
• Leads competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to attract and retain superior staff
• Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness, cost containment and alignment to best practice.
• Manage the delivery of the Annual Remuneration Report as part of the Group’s Integrated Report.
• Manage the preparation and delivery of the Remuneration Committee (Remco) submissions.
• Remain up to date with macro and microeconomic conditions, legislation, competition, market sentiment and the industry in general, to anticipate and plan for circumstances that may influence the development and implementation of the functional Human Capital (HC) Strategic Plan
• Provide input into and develop the functional HC strategic plan
• Facilitate the annual salary review (ASR) process for the organisation
• Manage the implementation of incentive/ variable pay programmes (both short term and long term)
• Manage the service providers and Service Level Agreements.
• Manage Payroll function:
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the payroll administration function
• Approver of access to HRMS system and system enhancements
• Manage Organisational design, organisational structures, job writing and job evaluation process within business and provide advice on strategic changes within business.
• Ensure the smooth running of the employee wellness programme and events and that costs are contained within budgeted limits.
• Manage administration and changes to employee benefit plans
• Leads the development of benefit orientations and other benefit training
• Participate if the Governance structures of the pension fund and provident fund arrangements within the Group.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters Diploma / NQF level 8
• Honours Degree in Human Resources Management/ Industrial Psychology, GRP qualification advantageous
• 12 year(s) Senior management experience in Human capital management (Mainly in the fields of Remuneration, Organisation design and Payroll Management, Wellness and Benefits)
