looking for experienced GENERAL MANAGER to run busy Lifestyle and Sports Center in Khartoum, Sudan.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

General Manager | Sudan | Lifestyle and Sports Centre

Our client needs services of  experienced GENERAL MANAGER to oversee all activities that include Trampoline Park, Ice rink, Bumper cars, Lazar Tag, Play Station, Go cars, Gym, Swimming pool, Sauna, Event Hall catering weddings and parties for over 2000 guests and several Restaurants, Kitchens, Bistros and food trucks in a Lifestyle and Sports Centre, located in Khartoum, Sudan.

Responsibilities:

HR

  • Managing staff, which involves: Arranging staff shifts and working schedules, recruiting, supervising, and training staff.
  • Performance reviews of al staff.

Marketing

  • Manage a team of Marketers so that they perform optimal.
  • Promoting and marketing the business, promoting sporting events and competitions
  • Design and promote activities to meet customer demand and generate revenue
  • Advertise and promote the center to increase usage, which may include commissioning and considering market research
  • Marketing the Centre''s facilities to potential customers, visiting local schools, Embassy’s, and other organizations to promote the facilities.
  • Team building, Expos

Admin

Restaurants

  • Manage all the Restaurants, Kitchens, Bistros and food trucks by delegating specific jobs to the Executive chef and overlook him doing his job.

Customers

  • Dealing with enquiries, complaints, and emergencies.
  • Maintain high levels of customer care, often with a particular focus on avoiding loss of existing users.

Financial

  • The manager is also accountable for the overall profitability of the center.
  • Managing budgets, by maintaining statistical and financial records
  • Developing new facilities
  • Cash up and keep stock records
  • Prepare and check budgets and generate income
  • Write monthly or weekly reports and prepare cash projections for center owners or more senior management.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies
  • Attending regular meetings with management teams and/or the Centre''s owners.

Health & Safety

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Maintaining customer service standards
  • Carry out health and safety checks on the equipment and site
  • Handle complaints and incidents, such as accidents, emergencies, or theft
  • Ensure own and staff members'' first aid training is up to date
  • Maintenance and repairs of the Centre and facilities
  • Making sure the building is clean and in a good state of repair.

Personal

  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Proven working experience as a General Manager
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Should be able to provide direction for all day-to-day operations of the Centre
  • Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Able to perform additional duties as requested by the Lifestyle and Sports Center MD as and when required.
  • Good communication skills
  • Organization skills
  • Presenting and negotiating skills
  • IT skills

Hours can be irregular and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, so they need to be flexible. The Manager also must be at the Centre for special events, emergencies, or to supervise or cover for absent staff. Time management is of great value to assure your workload.

Start: ASAP

Salary package:

  • Monthly Net Salary USD 3500 (basic plus living expenses), paid out in SDG at prevailing exchange rate
