SUMMARY:
General Foreman required to manage a team on a large Commercial Building project in the Inanda area

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of this General Foreman role: Organises and controls both workers and plant under his control. Works to a prescribed programme and sequence of work agreed between himself and his superior.

Reports to: Site Manager
Liaises with: Contracts Managers, Safety Officer, Procurement, subcontractors, suppliers, HR, other stakeholders
Supervises: Foreman, Junior Foreman, Chargehands, General Workers, Subcontractors, Suppliers

Required Education:

National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NQF4)
Matric and relevant trade certificate
Legal Liability
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
Working at Heights
Scaffold Erector and Inspector

Required Work Experience:
10-15 Years Relevant Experience

Technical knowledge eg. concrete structures, wet and finishing trades
Setting Out
Concrete Techniques, SCT 10, 20 (if Structural)
Mortar, Plaster and Screed, SCT 13 (If Wet trades or Finishes)
Management Skills
Setting Out - Use of a dumpy level and theodolite
