SUMMARY:
Our client is not only a manufacturer and supplier of premium Fire Fighting equipment, they also provide comprehensive assessments and innovative fire safety solutions for their clients.

POSITION INFO:

Position Overview:
Our client is looking an Engineering all rounder to join their team, the ideal candidate must have experience with welding, fitting, and turning. Most projects are handled on the business premises, but there will be times where you will be required to work on site from time to time.

Qualifications:
 Matric/Grade 12 – a relevant trade certificate or qualification will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties will include but not be limited to;

 Welding
o CO2 and tick welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
o Fabrication of above materials.
o Welding of pipes and flange fittings.

 Turning
o Be able to turn the following materials using a center lathe, stainless steel, mild steel, brass, and aluminum.
o The client has a CNC Turning machine and experience pertaining to this turning process with be advantageous.
o Cutting of threads and screw threading.

 Fitting
o Must be able to assemble and disassemble a pump.
o Pipe fitting using correct best practices using flanges and threads.

Required Skills and Experience:
 Desired experience 3-5 years or a Semi Retired candidate.
 Excellent house keeping skills, ensuring that the warehouse environment is kept clean and organised, and ensuring there is always a sufficient supply of materials on hand and the equipment is serviced according to schedule to ensure there is no downtime in the manufacturing process.
 Must have an excellent understanding of what tools are used for which process.
 Strong Organisational and time management skills.
 Strong communication skills – both written and spoken.
 Must be able to work in a calm, professional manner and can perform under pressure when required.
 Attention to detail.
