Gear Line Operator / Setter

SUMMARY:
Our Cape Town based client has been manufacturing and assembling SAE mounted cast iron pumps and associate components since 1985.

POSITION INFO:
Are you a Gear Line Operator / Setter with have 3 – 5 years’ CNC grinding setting and machining experience?  Are you self-motivated and conscientious?

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:     PERMANENT
SECTOR                     :    MANUFACTURING
START DATE              :     IMMEDIATE / A.S.A.P

DUTIES:
Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery
Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process
Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems found
Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working condition
 
REQUIREMENT:
Grade 12 with mathematics
3 – 5 years’ CNC grinding setting and machining experience
Be prepared to work on a three shift rotational basis
Tertiary setter / programmer course – advantageous
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Exemplary attendance record
Be certified by GPM for basic arithmetic, dexterity, measurement and eye test
