POSITION INFO:

Canteen Chef for a large Game Reserve

Hluhluwe, KZN

Salary Negotiable depending on experience

All shortlisted candidates will be required to do a site visit at their own cost

We are looking for a Staff Canteen Chef for a Game Reserve. You would be preparing meals for 100+ staff per day. You must have previous experience as a Staff Canteen Chef.

The candidate will need to have the following skills;

-Good knowledge of basic food production practices and standards

-Strong stock control

-Knowledge of bulk cooking and correct quantities

-Preparation of meals in line with set standards

-Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of the highest standards

-Understanding of kitchen procedures and timing requirements

-Understanding health and hygiene issues

-Good communication skills (Zulu speaking would be an advantage)

-Hard working

-Team player

-Honesty and integrity

The staff member would be on a 28 days on / 9 days off cycle. There is also a voluntary provident fund where the company matches the contribution to a maximum of 6%.
