GROUP STEEL BUYER - GERMISTON

SUMMARY:
Our client a leading national supplier of steel and tube requires an experienced steel buyer to join a their dynamic team. Proven experience buying of steel locally and internationally from a steel mill is essential. Candidates who have experience in other industries will not be considered for the position.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / equivalent
• A degree or diploma in Purchasing will be an advantage

 Experience and Requirements:

• Steel Mill Buying experience - at least 5-10 years Locally and internationally directly from a Steel Mill  (this is not negotiable)
• Advanced computer skills (Excel and Syspro)
• Experience in imports and exports
• Strong personality
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong negotiating and sourcing skills
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
• Must reside on the East Rand (Gauteng Province)
• Reliable transport
• A stable work record and have contactable references
