AFRICAN SUN MEDIA is looking to appoint an experienced, vibrant, and creative person to fill the position of Graphic/Web Designer/Developer.

Requirements:
- Graphic/Web Design/Development Diploma/Degree.
- At least 3 years post qualification experience.
- Exceptional creativity and innovation – portfolio of work to be submitted with CV.
- Excellent design software knowledge/skills – Adobe CC InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, After effects.
- Proven ability in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress and other CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO, AdWords, Social Media advertising platforms and web analytics.
- Must have basic DTP knowledge and be able to produce print-ready artwork for production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
- The ability to work under pressure, independently and in a team.
- Commitment to accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Confident and presentable.
The candidate will be involved in the following design processes:
- Conceptualisation, design and layout of annual reports, books, magazines, marketing material and promotional material.
- Creating digital design assets for web, mobile, ad campaigns and social media platforms.
- Managing client proposals form typesetting through to design, print and production
- Design and development of websites – maintenance and improvements included
- Brand development, including marketing and social media campaigns
- Creating infographics and other images in Adobe Illustrator
- Photo editing and preparing images in Adobe Photoshop for print and electronic distribution
- Scheduling of jobs for proofing and production
- Working with clients and briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales.
- Adhering to a client’s brand identity and guidelines
- Work on multiple briefs at the same time.
