GOVERNANCE / COMPLIANCE OFFICER – Claremont, Cape Town

R300 – R400K Negotiable based on Qualification and Years of relevant experience

6 MONTH CONTRACT – Start Immediately!

Our client, a Global Private Equity firm is currently in search of a motivated Governance / Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team of professionals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Control functions:

• Manage internal audit and compliance functions in terms of risk assessments, completing annual plans as well as submissions

Governance functions:

• Be responsible for Board Charters, KvK annual filing as well as appointments and changes
• Meeting scheduling i.e. minutes of board meetings, investor meetings (and related) as well as collating of packs with input from teams

KYC

• Respond to KYC queries
• Managing relationship with Global Business Service Provider and the sign off in terms of adherence to policy

QUALIFICATION AND EXCPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• LLB / B.Com Law and / or related Legal / Governance / Compliance qualification (with academic achievements)
• 3-5 Years related experience gained within the financial services / investment / related arena
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• High proficiency with MS Office, in particular Excel and Word
