POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in an Operations Management role in manufacturing
• Must have min 4 years’ staff management experience
• Must be analytical and have strong financial management experience
• Must have excellent computer skills

Duties Include:

• Apply the policies and guidelines as issued by the Executive Committee of the Group
• Monitor the development of the results of the company and carry out final responsibility for achieving these objectives
• Report on the financial results of the operation
• Ensure that ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System is maintained within the company through delegation to all responsible employees
• Maintain the accreditation of the certified standards viz, SANS 952, SANS 1381 and various Agreement certificates
• Ensure that adequate organization structures, resources, plans, procedures, systems and controls are in place to attain agreed goals and objectives
• Ensure that the company conforms to the Statutory and Regulatory factors which the work environment including Safety, Health and Environmental issues
• Ensure that harmonious Human and Industrial relations exist within the company.
• Prepare together with the Sales Manager develop a marketing strategy / information related to the business and provide detailed analysis with necessary action to ensure a proactive response to market changes
• Select and appoints immediate subordinates if necessary, together with the CEO, and delegates to each of them responsibility and accountability, however does not delegate overall responsibility

• Make final decision on major customer complaints and / or claims.  Delegates’ specific authority to the Sales Manager
• Take the final decision together with Factory Manager and Sales Managers on the acceptance or rejection of customer requirements/ specification.

Qualifications

• Must have matric and a Certificate/Diploma/degree in Operations/Manufacturing/ Business Administration – or similar
