Fundraising Manager

Rhiza Babuyile is searching for a Fundraising Manager and the position is based at Randburg, Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support the Babuyile Community Development Fundraising Department. Successful candidate will be responsible for meeting income targets by using various techniques to generate donations from sources such as public (community/mass participation events and regular giving),major donors, businesses and many others via special events ,trust and statutory and legacy fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research on fundraising opportunities
• Writing funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors
• Prepare budgets every quarter to determine what fundraising department’s needs are to be
• Coming with ingenious ways to raise awareness
• Organising and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders
• Establishing good relationships with staff members of the public and the media
• Evaluate the effectiveness of specific events and advertising campaigns to determine which ones work well and which ones should be abandoned
• Establish positive relationships with clients in every sector, including government representatives and members of the media
• Assign duties to every member of the fundraising staff and periodically review those duties to make sure they are all progressing accordingly

Requirements

• 3-5 years of fundraising experience
• Previous experience in sales or marketing also acceptable.
• Sound knowledge of the charity sector
• Experience managing a team
