Fund Accounting Technical Analyst - Unit Trusts

Candidate with minimum 5 years’ experience in pricing and review of in-house administered portfolios, preferably pricing of unit trusts, required to assist with asset administration of local and offshore portfolios.  Position is based in Constantia, Cape Town.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification beneficial
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, dealing with daily valuation and pricing of portfolios required
• Experience in pricing of Unit Trusts preferred
• Experience in front office working with instruments held in traditional unit trust funds required
• Detailed knowledge of various instruments held in traditional UT required – Listed Shares, Unit trusts, Yield traded instruments, Derivatives
• Experience re settlement process required
• Corporate and Calendar events experience required
• Experience in daily mark to market process required
• Experience in accounting entries of daily Fund pricing required
• Detailed knowledge of trial balance and journal entries of unit trust pricing required
• Knowledge of New Fund setup requirements, required

Responsibilities:

• Asset administration of local and offshore Portfolios
• Ensure accurate and efficient pricing and review of in-house administered portfolios
• Support pricing team around complex instrument setups and pricing logic around it in daily pricing cycle
• Perform daily valuation and pricing of Portfolios
• Perform Independent Oversight Review
• Effect trading and settlement for local ad offshore Fund of Funds
• Effect settlement for local and offshore Equities, Fixed Interest and Derivative instruments
