Fund Accountant - Pension Fund Accountant

KEY OUTPUTS

• All aspects of work must be at all times 100 percent correct
• Monitor and reconcile Fund bank accounts daily
• Request outstanding contribution information regularly
• Reconcile contribution and outstanding contributions monthly
• Calculate interest on outstanding contributions where applicable
• Payment and reconciliation of all monthly payments e.g. admin fees re-insurance by monthly due dates
• Payment and verification of ad hoc payment requests received
• Monthly Income Tax reconciliation, payment and submission
• Clearing of year end debtors and creditors
• Investment of contributions in line with Fund cash flow policy
• Monthly investment Cash Flow preparation
• Weekly and monthly formal bank reconciliations
• Quarterly Management Accounts preparation
• Ensure filing is done daily and kept up to date
• Attend and resolve al queries on the fund within reasonable time
• Set up and maintain monthly control for payments
• Preparation of working papers and annual financial statements
• Ensure all work is completed as per agreed deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• At least two to three years'''''''' experience in an Accounting position, preferably in the Employee Benefits Industry
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stress
