SUMMARY:
My Client Financial Services/Insurance company based in Sandton is looking for a Fund Accountant (Employee Benefits)

POSITION INFO:

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and assisting auditors with their queries
Working on closing funds, mini, small and large funds
Balancing of the Trial Balances for my funds
Checking discrepancies on daily investments/disinvestments on investment portfolio
Preparation of monthly Bank Reconciliations and monthly Cashflow statements
Complete all Quarterly Asset Allocation Reports per required procedure and ensure accurate submission to the South African Reserve Bank
Payment of monthly expenses as well as ad hoc expenses related to retirement funds
Meeting specific client requirements and expectations

Preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations
Allocate and reconcile monthly contributions
Assisting auditors with their queries
Update payments and receipts, prepare and post journal entries on the Accounting system
Obtain investment statements and bank statements in order to prepare consolidated joint management forum investment reports on a quarterly basis.
