A leading financial services provider is looking for a Fund Accountant with key working knowledge of pension funds to join their team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of funds allocated on a day to day basis and to assist Senior Management. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, cash flows, year-end debtors and creditors and liaising with the auditors.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
Completed SAICA articles

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3-4 years’ post article experience
Experience in the insurance or financial services industries is preferred
Experience with pension fund
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong business acumen
Excellent people management or leadership skills
