Full Stack Developer

SUMMARY:
Create and implement an array of Web-based products using PHP, MySQL, Ajax, and JavaScript. You develop back-end components, connect the application with other web services, and assist front-end developers by ensuring their work integrates with the application.

Tasks/Activities

• Write and Edit PHP Code

  • The primary duty of a PHP developer is writing and editing PHP code on the back end of web applications and dynamic sites. The PHP developer considers the web application’s intended function and works to integrate PHP code with existing HTML code. In this aspect of the role, the PHP developer also needs to work with the application’s data structure to ensure reliable performance.

• Develop and Implement PHP Modules

  • Work on PHP modules; blocks of code that can increase a web application’s functionality and performance for specific tasks. Design modules to be both reusable and portable so that they can be used for a variety of server-side tasks and be incorporated into future development projects. Ensure that these modules work independently and are successfully integrated into the application.

• Test and Troubleshoot Applications

  • Another important duty of PHP developer is testing and troubleshooting applications both before and after deployment. Ensure that the server-side elements of the application are working in tandem with the user interface, ensure that the application is receiving, parsing, and storing data correctly, and verify that all code elements are working independently and together.

• Collaborate with team members and business

  • Throughout the development process, PHP developers collaborate with other programmers and team members to ensure that deliverables are completed according to schedule following a development road maps (Scrum framework) process can involve both initial meetings to determine the project’s scope and needs and coordination throughout the implementation and testing processes to resolve server-side issues by updating or reworking PHP code and / or modules.

• Integrate Server-Side Code with Third-Party Modules, if needed

  • The PHP developer also ensures that server-side and backend code elements work in tandem with third-party services. PHP developers work with third-party application programming interfaces (APIs) to access data between servers and applications. For example, if an application uses content from Twitter, the PHP developer writes code using Twitter’s API and ensures that it is successfully integrated into the web application’s code base.

• Meet with Clients

  • PHP developers work with internal and external clients throughout the development process.

Essential Experience

• Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 1 year

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar relevant field

• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds

• Proficient in PHP, Javascript, MySQL, AJAX, jQuery, CSS and HTML

• Excellent relational database skills with MySQL

• Experience with building restful JSON web services

• Knowledge of API''''s

• Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, PHP and MySQL

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS and Java script

• Good knowledge of security and encryption

• Ability to determine whether a problem is caused by hardware, operating systems, software application programs or network failures

• Understanding of data structures, design patterns and object –orientated design

• High level of numerical expertise

• Knowledge of latest web development trends and technologies

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Extensive exposure to emerging technologies
