Fresh Produce Buyer - Gqeberha

• A thorough knowledge of Fruit and Vegetables is essential
• Previous Trading experience is a requirement
• Management experience in a packhouse environment will be an advantage
• Accountable for:
• Growing programmes / implementation thereof
• Product purchase prices
• Sales and gross profit for own buying category
• Maintaining shortage on order / product wastage within acceptable levels
• Product management, including quality
• Food Safety systems at the Producers
• Regular farm / opposition and market visits
• Packaging stock levels
• Promotions
• Acquiring accurate / relevant management information
• Adhering to Company Policy on Buying and Trading procedures
• Assisting with General Management duties
