SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled Forwarding Controller with 5–7 years of recent import controlling experience in the Clearing and Forwarding industry. POSITION INFO:
As a Senior Forwarding Controller, you will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate import cargo movements in line with client requirements.
- Apply and interpret INCOTERMS.
- Manage commercial, transport, carrier & depot, and statutory body documentation and stamps.
- Oversee various seafreight shipment types and claims/insurance processes.
- Understand global geographic locations, rate structures, currencies, and international codes.
- Ensure Reporting of Conveyances and Goods (RCG) compliance.
- Maintain financial accuracy and high standards of data quality.
- Analyse situations, solve problems, and maintain a strong client focus.
What Do You Need?:- Matric plus a 2-year Freight Forwarding qualification (NQF level 4 or 5, or equivalent).
- 5–7 years recent import controlling experience within the clearing and forwarding industry.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a high pressure environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong time management skills.
