Position SummaryTo offload/load raw and packaging materials, finished goods and returnable. Move, store and capture all transfers at the source in time with use of RF Scanner. Transport raw and packaging materials to and from other departments and perform stock counts in the department.
A day in the life of Forklift Driver
- Offloads materials and products from delivery vehicles and stage into interim area.
- Attach SSCC labels onto correct side of the materials/products for easy identification and visibility and scan it immediately.
- Scan material from interim bin, check correctness, store and scan in appropriate bin.
- Conduct Sample checks on key materials for validation of quantity and weight, with the appropriate recording and report any differences or quality defects to Co-coordinator when noticed.
- Picks and issues stock to Production Supply Area (PSA) using an RF Scanner
- Ensures signoff between production and warehouse of stock issued, investigate and correct any differences.
- Receives PSA returns and cross checks physical stock to documentation and puts away stock
- Ensure pallets are check (Quality, Quantity, Materials), put away and scanned from interim bin to storage location
- Precheck vehicles prior to loading
- Pick stock with RF Scanner as per Transfer Order received from warehouse Coordinator
- Maintain high standard of safety and housekeeping in work area.
- Do daily checks on the forklifts/reach trucks and complete the records daily and report any faults/problems to Supervisor immediately after discovered.
- Split and combine pallets using the RF Scanner and SAP based on business requirements
