Forklift Driver

SUMMARY:
Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in manufacturing Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

POSITION INFO:

Short Summary:

The main task of this position is to drive the forklift, ensure that the packaging store is clean and neat, and assist the Team Leader with general duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily forklift inspections and completion of the list.
• Assist in picking and loading orders according to the load sheet.
• Assist with offloading of all packed products, raw material, chemicals, and pallets.
• Ensure that the loading area is clean and accessible for loading and unloading of orders.
• Assist with moving stock to and from the outside warehouses.
• Conduct ad hoc tasks as per the instruction from a Supervisor.

Key Competencies:

Education and Experience

• Minimum of a Grade 12
• Conversant in English and Afrikaans
• A forklift license is essential
• Experience in manufacturing is beneficial

Interpersonal Skills

• Must be able to work in a team and alone
• Good time management
• Be disciplined and reliable
