Forklift Driver

SUMMARY:
Our multinational client in the Agri space is looking for a Forklift Driver to be based at their Warehouse in Deal Party PE

POSITION INFO:

Main mission

To operate a Forklift truck in a safe manner in the handling of goods. To physically assist with movement of goods into and out of the warehouse. Accurate goods receipting of inventory upon arrival with attention to detail with regards to

• Date of Manufacture
• Date of Expiry
• Product Batches
• Product Condition
• Product Quantity

The same principle above will apply to all goods been picked for dispatching of stock transfers and sales. Ensure the accurate and timeous capturing of all transactional related aspects within the warehouse in SAP.

Apply good housekeeping principles with regards to stacking, storing and cleanliness of products and depot facilities.

Compile weekly/monthly reports.

  Accurate capturing of stock transfer orders in and out of the warehouse.

  Accurate goods receipting and physical picking and dispatching of goods.

  Schedule an arrange transportation for timeous delivery or collection of goods.

  Manage Inventory and housekeeping.

  Execute and assist with cycle counts and stock takes.

  Maintain housekeeping standards

  Maintain depot and facilities.

  Assist colleagues as required (Alternative during absenteeism)

This candidate must be willing to ensure business continuity in times of absenteeism and must be able to work unsupervised and perform all work related aspects of the depot

Performance measures:

• Accurate and timeous capturing of operational transactions on SAP.
• Maintain zero percent stock variance with regards to inventory management.
• Zero recordable incidents with regards to forklift truck operations within the depot.
• Pro-active housekeeping of facilities and product cleanliness.
• Pro-Active Health and Safety observations and intervention.

Educational background / Experience:

• Grade 12
• Fluent in both English & Afrikaans.
• Forklift License
• Computer Literate …..SAP knowledge or experience will be advantage.
• 3+ years’ experience in similar role within logistics / distribution environment
