INTRODUCTION:
Our client, west of Postmasburg in the Northern Cape, requires the services of a Foreman Mobile Equipment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
- Grade 12 (Required);
- N4 Certificate in Engineering Studies (Required);
- Trade Certificate as Artisan (Required).
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Two (2) Years Managerial or Supervision Experience (Required);
- Three (3) Years Engineering or Maintenance Operations Experience of Mobile Equipment within a Surface Mining Environment (Required);
- Valid Code B Driving License (Required).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist to coordinate, implement, control and monitor change plans;
- Ensure data integrity and control;
- Identify improvement initiatives and team recognition;
- Ensure adherence to quality standards;
- Promote and assure adherence to SHERQ procedures;
- Implement compliance requirements;
- Provide input into sub-functional planning;
- Mobilise resources in order to achieve targets;
- Conflict resolution;
- Implementation of operational plans;
- Engineering and maintenance duties;
- Ensure production efficiency;
- Effective maintenance control and supervision;
- Risk Assessment;
- Provide input in budget planning process and monitor expenses;
- Internal and external customer support;
- Personal development and closing of training gaps;
- Participate in people development processes;
- Manage performance planning;
- Manage employee relations.
CLOSING STATEMENT:
- The successful incumbent will be appointed subject to being certified medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996 and meeting the requirements of the Company’s Code of Practice – Minimum Standards of Fitness to perform work at a Mine.
- He/she may also undergo a psychometric assessment.
- The abovementioned position is a C5 on the Patterson grading.
- The successful candidate that conforms to all said requirements and experience will be appointed on this grading. The successful candidate will be appointed on a 6 month probation period.
