SUMMARY:
A leading Supplier to the SA fashion retail chains is seeking a Footwear & Accessories Designer (Ladies & Girls) to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

2-3 years design experience within fashion industry either in retailer or supplier.
Design experience in Footwear or accessories highly beneficial.
Proficient on Adobe design suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
Good eye for fashion trends and ability to interpret into commercial product.
Attention to detail.
Good Verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

Photographing and tagging overseas samples.
Doing trend and product research for footwear and accessories.
Assisting merchandiser with compiling booklets & presentations to be presented to customers.
Creating detailed briefs and CADS in accordance to customers requirements.
Checking fit samples against design briefs – colour, fabrication, styling.
Loading styles onto Swift.
Updating customer packaging booklets on an annual basis.
Liaising with factories and buyers.
Designing and developing commercial, on trend ranges in line with briefs.
