SUMMARY:
Are you immediately available, bilingual in English and Afrikaans, a confident strong individual with excellent communication and administration skills that can communicate well with restaurant owners / buyers.
 
This position based in Montague Gardens will be suited to a bubbly personality, experienced with multi-tasking and the ability to be the “go to person” at all times for the smooth daily running of this company’s administration and office requirements.
 
Your experience in FMCG and selling food products into the hospitality industry will be HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, relevant qualifications advantageous
  • Must have excellent Food knowledge and experience having sold food items and dealt with Restaurant Owners and Retail Trade Buyers 
  • Computer Literate with excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in Food Sales and Administration
  • Ability to be a diverse worker who can multi-task well
  • Must be able to take ownership of tasks and running the office
  • Ability to communicate with Italian personalities
 
DUTIES
  • Answering incoming calls and dealing with walk in clients
  • Receiving and logging of orders via email
  • Dealing with Sales Representatives and assisting with their requirements
  • Manage quotations and arranging with Customers to receive Purchase order numbers
  • Assisting customers face to face (walk in), telephonically and via email.
  • Increasing customer spend by:  Upselling, cross selling and promoting new product lines.
  • Problem solving for any issues that arise
  • Follow up with requirements needed by clients
  • Managing correspondence for the Directors
  • Typing of correspondence and responding to emails
  • Daily invoicing
  • Managing stock requirements
  • Helping customers in store when they need assistance
  • Ordering of consumables that are needed
  • General administration requirements assisting the team within the business
  • Ad-hoc duties that arise
 
Salary: R10 – R12 000 negotiable, dependent on experience
