Fluid Buyer - Wadeville

SUMMARY:
A large, reputable Company in South Africa with a nationwide branch network, is looking for a Senior Buyer with unique skills.

POSITION INFO:

The successful Candidate should meet the following criteria:

• A Post Matric qualification would be desirable
• Computer literacy - Advanced Excel
• Syspro would be an advantage
• Overseas Travel : The Candidate must be prepared to travel to the Far East to meet with Suppliers

• Expert knowledge in pipes, fittings, flanges, valves and related products is required
• Deal with, and build relationships, with internal and external Manufacturers in Fluid products
• Must have experience with importing products - i.e. tariffs, exchange rates, clearing and forwarding
• Negotiate pricing - local and international
• Must have had experience working in a large organisation with a multi branch service network
• Partake in stocktaking
• The Candidate would be expected to work retail hours, i.e. 07h30 to 17h00 Monday to Friday, and every alternate Saturday & Public Holiday from 08h00 - 13h00.
