Fleet Maintenance Co-ordinator

SUMMARY:
Client based in Roodepoort seeks a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator

POSITION INFO:

Job Brief:

• Daily inspection on bakkies and trailers with the drivers
• Fleet maintenance and repairs – candidate needs to know how to work with trucks, trailers and general vehicles
• Ensure that company vehicles are well maintained at all times, check that all vehicles have spare tires and changing equipment available
• Arrange for vehicle services, license disk renewals, fleet card renewals and insurance updates
• Arrange for the purchasing and selling of vehicles when required
• Manage diesel consumption and compile reports
• Arrange for breakdown services when required
• Ensure that all scrap tires are collected by REDISA from the yard on a weekly basis
• Fill in all petty cash and repair slips
• Manage slips
• Arrange for maintenance on the generator when required
• Ensure that the generator is filled with diesel at all times and that the generator is switched on every morning and off again every afternoon
• Complete performance evaluations with each employee when required
• Ensure that all drivers complete job cards correctly; including the customer’s name, tires size, pattern, reason for the tire to be sent in and serial number- DOT numbers must not be allowed
• Ensure that the company has a sufficient number of vehicles and drivers

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Excel experience
• Matric/Grade 12
• Excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of trucks, trailers and passenger vehicles
• Experience in Fleet maintenance such as changing of brake pads, operating a drill bit and general maintenance
• Able to service trucks and passenger vehicles
• Mechanic experience will be an advantage
