SUMMARY:
Fleet Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of role

The Fleet administrator will work closely with the fleet manager and assist with the day-to-day operations of each vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to line mangers in respect:

  • Assistant to the Fleet and Procurement Officer 
  • Monitor and ensure the fleet operation complies with national laws and regulations.
  • Checking in and out of vehicles 
  • Vehicle inspection to ensure vehicles are 100% roadworthy
  • Tracking vehicles / drivers and on route follow-up
  • Register drivers ID tags and monitor driving habits
  • Liase with Finance on Fuel Consumption monitoring and reporting
  • Compile monthly reports on movements e.g. areas visited, mileage, trends, issues, and vehicle usage
  • Oversee inventory according to company guidelines
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
  • Breakdown liaison
  • Support monitoring of vehicle life cycles (service intervals, repairs, insurance, mileage/hours, washing internal and external, fuelling, tires and oil)
  • Any other duties as and when requested by management

Requirements

  • Diploma/ Degree in logistics
