Fixed - Term Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client operating within the Engineering industry is currently looking for an individual to join their East Rand based finance team as a Fixed - Term Financial Accountant. This is a six month fixed - term contract with the possibility of further extension. If you are the ideal for this vacancy, please apply!

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) designation and/or eligibility
• Previous working experience within a senior Audit position at a reputable audit and/or accounting firm
• South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)articles completed at a ‘Big 4 Firm’ is advantageous

Job description & Skills:

• Preparing financial statements and financial reports as well as making recommendations regarding cost reduction
• Reconciling asset costs to general ledger asset accounts for all assets capitalised during a specific period
• Establishing and implementing processes and/or procedures for the annual physical verification of assets
• Preparing tax schedules to determine the estimated taxes due by the company
• Conducting financial analysis and providing business advice that facilitates decision making that supports the company
• Ensuring that financial books are accurately prepared and regularly maintained
• Liaising with auditors and overseeing the successful completion of audits
