POSITION INFO:

Our client operating within the Healthcare industry is currently searching for a new Credit Controller to join their Johannesburg North based Finance team on a temporary basis. Essentially, our client is looking to employ someone to fulfil the full credit control function and/or responsibilities relevant to their direct-to-consumer business model.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree and/or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree and/or National Diploma (NDip) specialising in Financial Management
• Previous working experience using the JD Edwards (JDE) system software is advantageous 
• Knowledge and/or working experience involving medical devices and International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD) 10 Codes

Job description & Skills:

• Managing the overdue invoices, collections, and allocating payments to the relevant consumers
• Processing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) submissions and interpreting authorisation letters for accurate billing
• Performing reconciliations, collections, and providing financial reports in accordance with the guidelines and/or deadlines of the respective medical aids
• Managing the accounts receivable customer files and maintaining the data integrity by ensuring that are accurately recorded and/or compiled
• Ensuring that receipts, cash, and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) are processed in accordance with established systems and/or procedures
• Conducting daily cash sales reconciliations and aiding with the completion of month-end closing reporting
• Engaging with customers and managing customer account details for non-payments and delayed payments to research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Liaising with the relevant banking authorities to obtain information regarding unknown payments to ensure that there are no unallocated payments at month end
• Conducting comprehensive Age Analyses and providing monthly feedback to management
