Fitter (mining) A mining company is looking for a Fitter to join their project in Limpopo. The team will be working both Opencast and underground.

A mining company is looking for a Fitter to join their project in Limpopo.

The team will be working both Opencast and underground.

 

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing equipment in manufacturing settings.
• This equipment could include lathes, pumps, hydraulics.
•  It is important that the candidate know how to use such tools as drills, grinders, welding equipment, and various types of cutters to work on valves, pipes, and motors.
• The candidate will replace worn machinery parts, make necessary repairs, adhere to a maintenance schedule for manufacturing equipment and make modifications to machines as needed.
• The candidate might make on-site repairs or transport a damaged part of the machine to a shop to complete their work
• Hydraulic system knowledge
• Able to read hydraulic Schematics
• Complying with Health and Safety standards

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Trade test
• 2 Years’ experience as a Fitter in a mining environment
