SUMMARY:
Maintain and test all equipment/machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability and availability within the specified timeframe and budgetary limits

POSITION INFO:

Fitter & Turner / Machinist

Pretoria Babelegi/Hammanskraal

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and test machinery for safety and reliability.
Report equipment defects and repair time estimates.
Perform repairs and maintenance per standard practices.
Operate hand tools and machine parts to specifications.
Create CNC programmes from drawings or components.
Manufacture components on CNC machines as per specs.
Inspect and rig heavy components safely with overhead cranes.
Ensure ISO, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Maintain housekeeping in the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 and N2 Technical Certificate.
Qualified Fitter & Turner Artisan.
At least 2 years experience in fitting, turning, and machining.
Basic rigging experience an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
