JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintenance – Breakdowns and Repairs & Planned Prevention Maintenance

Rostered as the breakdown maintenance engineer and on call to attend plant equipment breakdowns
Attends to breakdowns ensuring that there is always a rapid response and that the plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimized.
Always endeavor to reduce downtime of plant and machinery
Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone/and or part of a team.
Has good understanding and working knowledge of company’s equipment and machinery, working towards continually improving that knowledge.
Conduct complex repair, modification and carry out installation work on mechanical plant and equipment using technical equipment and hand tools in accordance with SANS standards and codes regulatory requirements.
