Fitter and Turner

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for a Fitter and Turner to be based in the Allanridge, Free State area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Relevant N2 trade related subjects or 10 years as a qualified artisan with work book
• Recognized trade certificate
• Learnership contract / proof of formal training
• 2 years'' experience as a Fitter in the shaft section in winders/pump stations
• English proficiency
• Medical certificate of fitness for underground
• Own transport (To attend to call-outs in good time)
• Means of being contacted by the mine after hours
• Ability to pass conveyor belt riding

Responsibilities:

• Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of work
• Safe and effective maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Ensure that effective communication is established and maintained.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety responsibilities
