Fitter Machinist

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Qualified Trade Tested Fitter and Turner (including machining)
• EdgeCAM essential
• Programming and Operating Controls

Requirements

• Min 2-3 years relevant experience in plastic injection moulding- Preferred
• Min 2-3 years relevant general Tool room working experience including hand work-preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret Technical Drawings
• Experience in Edgecam essential
• Must have knowledge on 3D modelling software (Inventor or Solidworks or similar)
• Experience in Thin-wall injection moulding will be added advantage
• Must have welding experience
• Own car required
• Own Cell phone required
• Plant runs 24 hours/ 7 days

Duties

• Attending to breakdowns
• Programming, setting-up and operating of CNC machines
• Proper cutter selection for specific application
• Proper cutter selection for specific application
• Minimized idle time    
• Maintain high quality standards at all times
• Cutting tool management by ensuring that the correct cutters be available at all times 
• Maintain and modify existing moulds as well as manufacture/design new tools
• Maintain tight tolerances
• Attend to breakdowns at all times, including after-hours support. Weekends, public holidays, etc included
• Refurbish tooling to standard specifications
• Repair breakdowns 
• Assist with tool-related problems 
• Help with troubleshooting
• Ready to do standby on weekends, public holidays, after hours, etc is essential
• Ability to work overtime when required 
• Maintain safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards
• Possibility of working shifts
