Fitter

• Grade 12
• Fitter Trade Test and Fitter Learnership
• 5 years minimum experience as a Fitter and Automotive Industry background
• Have knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics System
• Good mechanical maintenance
• Good fault finding knowledge
• Good Fitting ability
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as a team and independently

Duties

• Must be able to work from a drawing
• Must be able to work with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Must be able to fault find in pneumatics and hydraulics
• Do all mechanical repairs where needed
• Practice synchronous manufacturing at all times in order to eliminate unnecessary work and reduce inefficiencies
• Attend to breakdowns whenever necessary
• Follow a preventative maintenance system WRT /Mechanical maintenance and maintain paperwork in order
• Be prepared to work shifts, depending on company requirements
• Be prepared to be on standby, depending on company requirements
• Be prepared to work overtime, depending on company requirements
• Adhere to company’s safety policy
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Maintain good housekeeping in own department and wherever working
• Assist the Maintenance Superintendent in achieving ISO 14001 targets
