JOB DESCRIPTION:

Grade 12
Fitter Trade Test and Fitter Learnership
5 years minimum experience as a Fitter and Automotive Industry background
Have knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics System
Good mechanical maintenance
Good fault finding knowledge
Good Fitting ability
Good communication skills
Ability to work as a team and independently

Duties

Must be able to work from a drawing
Must be able to work with pneumatics and hydraulics
Must be able to fault find in pneumatics and hydraulics
Do all mechanical repairs where needed
Practice synchronous manufacturing at all times in order to eliminate unnecessary work and reduce inefficiencies
Attend to breakdowns whenever necessary
Follow a preventative maintenance system WRT /Mechanical maintenance and maintain paperwork in order
Be prepared to work shifts, depending on company requirements
Be prepared to be on standby, depending on company requirements
Be prepared to work overtime, depending on company requirements
Adhere to company’s safety policy
Adhere to company rules and regulations
Maintain good housekeeping in own department and wherever working
Assist the Maintenance Superintendent in achieving ISO 14001 targets
