Summary of the Job Purpose: Assembly of gears and gear units that is to the required schedule and quality requirements in order to meet the KPI''s of the Production Department.

Key Responsibilities:

To assist in the achievement of the outlined KPI''s of the Production Department.
To carry out the gearbox assembly work that includes assembly, coupling fitment, testing of gearbox, spray painting of gearboxes, laser alignment and other related work to gear units.
To be responsible and accountable for QESH
To operate all equipment and tooling required for the assembly of gearboxes and gear related products (Included but not limited to overhead cranes, hydraulic presses, bearing heaters and pneumatic equipment)
To be responsible for housekeeping with the assembly area
To adhere and participate in organisational EHS requirements
To assist where is deemed necessary by the company
Any other reasonable instruction from your Team Leader

Job Specific:

Good understanding of engineering principles
Understanding and working knowledge of gearbox assembly tools and techniques.
Experience of working with a multi disciplined team approach
Understanding of maintenance practices
Understanding of OHS legal liabilities and requirements
Must be willing
