| CORE PURPOSE OF JOB | 
| The purpose of this post is to collaborate with the First Year Success Coordinator in the execution of appropriate and effective institution-wide First Year Success Programmes in order to facilitate a smooth transition of new students into the academic and social culture of the University as directed and in accordance with the mission of the Nelson Mandela University | 
| KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS | 
| 
To co-promote and implement an appropriate and effective First Year Success Programme for new students across the University;To facilitate training programmes for First Year Success Leaders;To recruit, interview and select new and senior students from each programme in each Faculty as First Year success BuddiesTo liaise with First Year Success Leaders and First Year students;To manage and update information on the First Year Success digital platforms;To perform administrative functions for the First Year Success programme included but not limited to 
Finance AdministrationMarketing and Communication AdministrationOffice Administration  |

| REQUIREMENTS |  | 
| In order to be considered for appointment to this post, candidates should have complied with the following requirements: 
M+3 or equivalent qualification in the field of social sciences, marketing or public relationsHave at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in which the above competences have been gained.    |  |
