First Line SUpport Technician

SUMMARY:
Working for a well-established retail Sector organization, you will act as the central point of contact between the customer and the IT Service Management. You will receive all IT incidents and requires arriving in to the Service Desk and where possible attempt to provide 1st time resolution / 1st line support. You will escalate more complex IT issues up to a 3rd part service provider.

POSITION INFO:

Main responsibilities:

• Interpret customer requirements and provide advice and support on potential solutions to resolve (fix) I.T related issues as they arise.
• Provide first line I.T support (Fix) to end users.
  Plan and support the delivery of agreed work programmes
• To assist in the provision of an effective support desk service across the organisation
• To receive and record all calls from customers and deal directly with requests and complaints and escalate problems in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure users are informed on status and progress of incidents logged with the service desk and ensure that routine tasks needed to meet user requirements are undertaken correctly and on time
• To liaise with the relevant technical teams as required ensuring calls from customers are escalated as appropriate in accordance with service level agreements.
• Assisting with Point of sale queries
• Computer software updates

 

Minimal requirements

• Grade 12
• Related qualification
• ± 2 Years related experience
• Experience with POS, Azure, Cloud and Microsoft 365
